Global Kid Back Story

Back Story The global kids are a globetrotting brother and sister news team. Skylar 11, and his sister, Stellar, 9 travel to interesting locations around the world aided by the little solar-propelled airplane built by their father, the renowned inventor Remington James. R. J. as he is called knows that children are the future of the planet and has made it his mission to ensure that the next generation gets a solid education about the world they're living in.

Since nobody can relate to a kid better than another kid, Remington and his brother Albert James an eccentric but colorful media magnate who owns a television station have commissioned Skylar and Stellar to travel to different parts of the earth and report back what they see and who they meet--the world from a kid's point of view.

To aid them in their travels, the global kids have several nifty inventions built by their father. The airplane which seats three comfortably is powered by solar energy and can fly at night off of reserve sunshine stored in its wings. Their video camera serves as a direct remote satellite Hookups, skype, mobile phones, video cameras which they can keep in touch with their father and transmit stories to Uncle Albert for, broadcast on his web-based TV show, Globalkid.com.

And, of course, they have Penelope, a telepathic spider monkey. Penelope, a primate, R. J. saved from a biological experiment, is no average spider monkey. She has an IQ of 140 and communicates telepathically with most animals. Penelope often saves the day for intrepid little explorers with her quick thinking.

Each week or so, the global kids will travel to new and exciting places as dictated by log-in requests and votes from the audience of children who tune in to the web show. They will visit exotic places like the pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall of China, the Alamo, etc., as well as places where members of the web audience hail from like Boise Idaho, Tampa Bay, Florida, Florence, Philippines, Israel, China, India...

The Global kid’s video report will be an educating and entertaining glimpse into places and people, who comprise the planet our own spaceship earth, more than a billion children call home.

At the end of each report, there will be a short quiz for the web audience (5-6 questions) based on the facts of that particular report (rewards for correctly answering and submitting TBD).

The web audience will be encouraged to post comments and suggestions and also submit their own stories about places they live and people they know with drawings and photos. All reports, those from Global kid as well as those from elected audience members will be archived and available on request...
